This Privacy Policy explains how Buzzar (“Buzzar”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, the Buzzar Android application on Google Play (the “App”), and related services (together, the “Services”).

1. Who we are

Buzzar provides AI-powered trade intelligence for India’s agricultural commodity markets. For questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us at abhinav@buzzarr.com.

For the purposes of India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), Buzzar is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through the Services.

2. Scope

This policy applies to personal data collected through:

  • The Buzzar website and any pages linked from it, including this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions
  • The Buzzar Android app available on Google Play
  • Enquiries, partnership forms, email, and other communications you send us

It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to (for example Google Play or LinkedIn). Those services have their own privacy practices.

3. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, information generated by your use of the Services, and limited information from the device or browser you use.

Information you provide, which may include:

  • Name, organisation, email address, phone number, enquiry type, and message when you contact us or submit a partnership form
  • Commodity, quantity, location, and other inputs you enter to receive market recommendations
  • Account or profile details if you register in the App

Location information:

  • The App may collect precise or approximate location (for example GPS or network-based location) so we can identify relevant mandis, estimate distance and transport, and rank selling opportunities near you
  • You can deny or later withdraw location permission in your device settings. Some recommendation features may not work fully without a location or a manually entered location

Technical and usage information, which may include:

  • Device type, operating system, app version, language, and similar diagnostics
  • IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps when you visit the website
  • In-app and on-site usage events (for example which features you open, download clicks, and form submissions) so we can understand product performance
  • Crash logs and performance data to keep the Services reliable

4. How we use information

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve market intelligence, mandi comparisons, and related App features
  • Estimate distance, transport context, and net realization based on your inputs and location
  • Respond to enquiries, partnership requests, and support messages
  • Send service-related notices (for example about the App, security, or material policy changes)
  • Monitor usage, diagnose problems, and keep the Services secure
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms & Conditions

We do not sell your personal data.

6. How we share information

We may share personal data with:

  • Service providers who host the website, operate infrastructure, send email, or provide analytics, crash reporting, or similar processing on our instructions
  • Google Play and other platform operators as needed to distribute the App
  • Professional advisers, auditors, or authorities where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services
  • A buyer or successor if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards

We require processors who handle personal data on our behalf to use it only for the purposes we specify and to protect it appropriately.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, resolve disputes, maintain security, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Contact-form submissions are retained as needed to handle your enquiry. Location and recommendation inputs are kept as needed to deliver and improve the feature you used, then deleted or aggregated where feasible.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act and other applicable law, you may request to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Erase personal data that is no longer required
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity, as permitted by law
